Public Search

This page allows members of the public to search for existing applications in SPEAR system. Users do not have to be logged into SPEAR to access this function. The Public Search link can be found on the SPEAR Homepage, or if you are logged in, at the top of the screen.

Searches can be carried out on all SPEAR applications that have achieved a status of at least "Lodged at Council" and are not "completed applications".

Steps

1. From the Homepage, select Public Search link.
2. Enter criteria in one or a number of fields.
3. Select "Search".
4. The System will display applications that match your Search Criteria.
5. Click on the application to continue to the Application Overview Screen.

Note: In most circumstances, the local council is the Responsible Authority. However in some circumstances the Minister for Planning is the Responsible Authority. In these cases, any SPEAR reference to 'Council' and/or 'Responsible Authority' means the Minister for Planning. For further information, visit the Ministerial Permits webpage.
